Delhi, the heart of India means capital of India, the city is full of historical places and monuments. Many emperors fought for this city, so that they could rule over India.

So many emperors built monuments as their residence and later on it became historical places. Now so many tourists come to Delhi to visit these historical places and monuments. Delhi is full of culture driven, here you will find people from different cultural values and backgrounds. So tourists would get anything you would think of, people from different cities come to Delhi for purchasing so that they can buy from popular and historical places. 1. India gate

India gate is originally called the Delhi memorial because it was built in the memory of Indian army soldiers who fought in World War 1. It was made from sandstone of red and yellow and granite. It is located in central Delhi, anyone can visit very easily. People also spent their good time with family while walking from INDIA gate to rashtrapati bhawan.it is a 2.3 km stretch only. People especially go there to have a walk with ice cream on their hand.

2. Red fort

The red fort, originally called a lal qila was built by the most romantic emperor, shah Jahan. It was the residence of Mughal emperors. It was made from red sandstone. Furthermore, it is located in old Delhi, anyone can spend their whole day easily as Chandni Chowk market is also a nearby spot. People can enjoy their day because there are so many famous eateries that will make your tongue mouth-watering. Red fort is very important for India because Indians celebrate their independence on the 15th of august every year.

3. Connaught place

Connaught’s place is also called Rajiv Gandhi, it was built by Britishers for their residence purpose and business purpose. It is built in the shape of a circle which is divided into two circles that is an inner circle and an outer circle, its walls are painted white color. Now it is a commercial place, tourists from all over the world come to this place to hang out with family and friends. Anyone can spend their whole day as there are so many eateries and shopping centers. Some tourists come here for the Central Park, some for shopping purposes, and some for roaming around and for party purposes, so for each age group there is something in Conn aught place. I can guarantee you that no one can be bored here.

4. Qutub minar

It is one of the most famous historical monuments and attractions for tourists from all over the world. It was built by Mughal emperors as a mark of victory. Furthermore, it has six floors, of which the first three floors were made from red stone and the remaining floors were made from sandstone and granite. It is located in Mehrauli which is a southern area of Delhi. It is a must-visit historical monument when you are in Delhi. There are so many cafés from where you can see Qutub minar, especially at the night.

5. Akshardham temple

Akshardham temple’s full name is Swaminarayan Akshardham temple, which is a temple of Hindu gods. It is the largest Hindu temple in the world. It was made from Rajasthan pink stone and Italian marble. The word Akshardham means a place where god resides. There are so many things to enjoy there such as a musical fountain, theater, boat ride, and exhibition halls. Tourists go with their family for a day spent and there is also an ample amount of parking space. It is located in the east part of Delhi.

6. Humayun’s tomb

It was built in the name of Humayun, who was the second-strongest Mughal emperor of India, and Hamida banu begum built it. It was made from red sandstone. Basically it is the graveyard of Humayun and their family and after that many Mughals believed that it was the purest place for any soul, so they try to make a grave near this area.

7. Hauz Khas Village

Hauz Khas means royal tank in Hindi it was built by Mughal emperor Alauddin khilji for its water needs and after that Firoz shah converted it into a madrassa. Now Hauz Khas village is a center of attraction for tourists from all over India, especially young tourists because of fashion designer stores, pubs, and cafés. Tourists also come here for deer park and rose park. It is located in the south part of Delhi.

8. Bangla sahib

Bangla sahib is a gurudwara which is Sikh’s worship place, it was built in the memory of 8th sikh guru that is guru har krishan. It was a bungalow of Raja jaisingh which was donated by him to Sikhs shrine, as it was believed that guru har krishan ji resides there in raja’s bunglow. It is famous for its golden domb which is made from gold. Many tourists and guru bhakts come here daily to worship. Free food and water is provided by the gurudwara. It is located in central part of Delhi, which is near connaught place.

9. Lotus temple

Lotus temple is a worship place for all people regardless of any region, caste, and gender. Any person from any country can come here to chant and pray. It has become a center of attraction in few years because of its structural design as it is built in the shape of lotus which is very beautiful flower in the world. It is made from white marble. Furthermore, it is located in south part of Delhi, which is east of Nehru place.

10. Sunder nursery

In the era of 16th century it was called as azim bagh which was made by Mughals. It has 15 heritage monuments and for this view people from different parts of world come here to spend their good time and to get relaxed. It is located near Humayun tomb, which is southern part of Delhi.
